I assume that you are talking about their guitars costing under $1000.00.
BCRich is made by Fine Guitar Manufacturing Company in China, while Schecter is made by Sound Professional Guitar Company in Korea or Indonesia. By the way, BOTH of these companies do make very good full custom instruments.
Regarding quality of build, they are very similar but I give a slight edge to Schecter only because they are made in the largest guitar factory on the face of the planet.

Good luck getting an Ibanez from a custom shop – they are imported by Hoshino. The Schecter is a bit better, in my opinion, but only because I HATE the RG necks – I’ve made more money selling Ibanez, but like Shecter guitars better generally.
Try a PRS CE24 – not the import SE series, but you can find a good used CE24 with the 5 way roll switch for 1500 bucks or so. You’ll not want either guitar after that.

I am looking at a few different higher end guitars 800$ + (Higher end for me) and I was wondering if using emg closed pickups would be better for pinch harmonics than a Double Humbucking pickup that is open. I was looking at a Schecter Hellraiser C1-FR and also the Scecter Synyster Custom. It is being used for metal and is being run through a few metal and other boss pedals of mine. Let me know Thanks.

i have a schecter baritone, its super mega sounding but the novelty has worn off, and i love the design and quality so much that i would love to use it as a rythm guitar…..i wonder if simply putting reg. strings will be so easy and work?

I’m looking to get a pedal to make my bass guitar (Schecter C4) to sound similar to the sounds of Death From Above 1979. Any reccomendations would be helpful.

My birthday is coming up and I thought I’d ask for a guitar. I have a gift card i could add to the price so it’ll probably be in the range of 300-600$.
I like solid body electric guitars with relatively low action so it’s easy to play and solo. I currently have a schecter hellraiser and an old fender strat.
Also, if it helps I like to play rock, metal and jazz.
Opinions anyone?

I’m Looking at the Parker guitars. I have heard huge praise from everyone who plays them and heard they are great for any kind of music and sound awesome.
On the other hand, I have also looked at the Schecter guitars but really don’t know anything about the handling of them and have never played with the different models so some suggestions would be great
Any other suggestions are great. No I don’t want crappy guitars. Nor do I want another gibson or fender. Also am not interested in any guitar by the following:
Hamer
B.C. Rich
Ovation
Taylor
Gretsh
ESP
Yamaha
Or any other ripoff brands.
